The Online Media Top 10

Here's a list we've compiled of the Top 10 free media sites on the web.

While this list is in no specific order, this website deserves to be right where it is in the lineup. YouTube allows users to view other peoples videos, submit their own, save their favorites, rate and comment on them, and more. The greatest part -- accounts are totally free.
Free, legal streaming music. Simply log on, type in your favorite artist, or simply something you want to hear, and let the player do its thing. If they do not have the artist you're searching for, they give you something close, or what others searching for the same thing went to instead. Nothing to download or install, simply go to the site and start listening.

With major artists and even their videos, Yahoo! music is a place to cruise past when you gotta be at the computer all day. The best feature has to be their radio station selection, which allows you to stream many, many stations directly across the web.

After coming a long way from the days of multiple lawsuits, the main thing this website has stuck to is free music. Mp3.com is a veteran on the web, and a great way to find some indie artists, as well as a few major names.

Similar to YouTube with a little better content. The videos featured are all really funny, and mostly aimed to a male audience, or so they claim. Break.com also features games and funny pictures submitted by other users.

An internet classic, Newgrounds hosts incredible flash games, including 'Kill a Celebrity' type games, Action, Adventure, Driver, Puzzle Games, and more. They have an Audio Portal, for users to listen to user submitted music, a Flash Movie Portal, and user Forums.

A lot like Break.com, this website has a lot of funny content, including movies, pictures, flash games and the "Top 50" of all categories, so you don't have to navigate through everything to find the best stuff. Some of the videos can be a more over-bearing than anticipated, but the games are great.

Another long runner, eBaumsworld has a long list of funny content, different flash games, including casino games, different videos, prank calls, soundboards, a joke board, live chat, and links to send hatemail to. They also host music videos from different indie and major artists, and feature various contests from time to time.

A very new entity, but soon to be very powerful, Hulu features full episodes of some of your favorite shows, and is one place to go if you can't see the episodes premier on t.v. for some reason. Many series are featured in their entirety, such as Arrested Development, and others have entire seasons available to be streamed at anytime, such as 30 Rock. The only downside is a 15 sec commercial from time to time, although this is insignificant and unnoticed when compared to watching t.v.

While some of the content can be a little low brow, CollegeHumor.com is another great place to laugh. From funny videos and pictures to full articles where users go on long winded, yet poignant rants, college humor somewhat tailors to a younger, but older than younger crowd.
