Nationwide search is still underway for Oklahoma native Lester Hobbs and his 8-year old stepdaughter. Police say Hobbs kidnapped the girl on Jan. 25 in Geronimo, Okla. after he allegedly murdered his estranged wife, Tonya Hobbs, who is also the girls mother. Hobbs was found dead inside her RV in the town of Geronimo on Jan. 25. There is a nationwide search for the 1992 white Toyota Paseo that Hobbs and the girl are believed to be traveling in.
The search for an 82 year-old man who wondered away from his home in Lincoln County about two weeks ago has been called off. Police have been unable to find any clue leading to the wherebouts of the elderly gentlemen who is believed to have dementia.

A cluster of sex-offenders, who have been living in Lincoln County under the same roof as employees of Wright Way Homes, are being forced to move or comply to county and state statutes. The ex-convicts are living on the property through Love Ministries and they are working in construction, however the statutes say that they can't live under the same roof, they must register and each must attend weekly counseling at the expense of their employer.

The movie "the Killer Inside Me" based on a book by Oklahoma author, Jim Thompson, starring Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson, had viewers at the Sundance Film Festival claiming the film is too violent. The film shot in Oklahoma last summer and is about a crazed serial killer who also happens to be a small town sheriff from Oklahoma.
Oklahoma nabbed the Edmonton Oilers American Hockey League Team. The announcement came after Oklahoma lobbied to get the team. The team will play in the Cox Convention Center in downtown OKC. The building has not seen ice for about two years when the former hockey team, the Blazers,left.
