3.2 Beer Why?

There is a lot to like about Okalahoma. Good food, no crowds, great roads, sports, the lake, and easy living. But like everything else in this world nothing is perfect; including our state. One of the biggest problems I have with this place is the 3.2 beer. I don’t like having to go to the liquor store to buy hot beer. I can’t buy beer on Sundays or holidays. I can’t get a Coors anywhere in the state. For those of you that think 3.2 beer is beer, it isn’t. It is a pathetic excuse for beer as best. It’s not only annoying; it’s embarrassing. I have lived and traveled all over this country and we all know that “Okies” are often the butt of everyone jokes. People in California and the East cost really think we are a bunch of hick idiots, and the fact that I can’t buy a domestic Marco beer anywhere in this state sort of makes me agree with them sometimes. I don’t live here anymore but most of my friends with corporate jobs find the 3.2 beer phenomenon embarrassing and detrimental to their ability to entertain outsiders. If you served this crap to most Europeans they would spit it out. Bricktown and our new airport are helping; it’s about time we do away with this pointless law for our economy and my taste buds sake.
